Appointments are maintained for providers, coordinators, and resources. The following appointment types are supported:
1. Study Protocol Visits
When you schedule a patient, the system generates the patient appointments. For each visit, an appointment is created for each provider that is flagged as a scheduled provider in the Provider Form.
For Example: Screening Visit 1 has a Sign Consent procedure for the coordinator and a Brief Physical for the principle investigator. Clinasyst will create an appointment for the same day for both the coordinator and physician.
2. Non-Protocol Visits/Meetings
There are two ways to add appointments to the scheduler. One way is to click on the location in the scheduler where you want the appointment to begin and drag to create an appointment box. The second is to click on the desired row where you want to create the appointment and click on the <Edit Appointment> option on the Scheduler Menu.. In both cases, the Appointment Pop-up form will appear allowing the user to complete the appointment information.
3. Unavailable Times
Each provider or coordinator may have times blocked off on the scheduler. The Schedule Tab on the Provider form allows the user to show when a person is unavailable on certain days. When the scheduler is opened, the system automatically blocks off times if applicable.
