Schedule (Enroll) Patient

When Schedule Patient is selected, the patient Enrollment Pop-up Form appears. Use this form to enroll patients into studies. The following script describes the enrollment process:

1.    If the patient has already been enrolled in another study, the message “Patient is currently enrolled in a study. Do you wish to continue?” will appear. If <OK> is selected, the enrollment process will continue thus enabling the patient to be enrolled in two or more concurrent studies.

2.    Select the study into which you wish to enroll the patient. Only studies with an “Enrolling” status will be available for selection. This prevents the accidental enrollment of a patient into a study that is closed.

3.    If the closing date for study enrollment has passed and the “First Visit Date” is greater than the study closing date, a prompt will appear “Enrollment closed on mm/dd/yy. Is the date correct?” Select <Yes> or <No>. This step provides automatic data verification.

4.    To finalize the patient enrollment process, click the <OK> button. The patient’s appointments will automatically be scheduled according to the study protocol and facility schedule.

5.    If the <Cancel> button is clicked, the message “You have not saved Enrollment! Do you still want to exit?” will appear. If <Yes> is chosen, enrollment information will not be processed.
