And since your site is currently involved with studies that are at various stages, these existing studies brought current in Clinasyst using utility features.   A Clinasyst site can get up and running from any former system very easily.

Data/Referential Integrity

Clinasyst was designed knowing that new information should be entered in the system once and only once. Selection lists throughout the system allow you to select from information found in a number of Master Tables. This reduces the likelihood of misspelling and other entry errors and simplifies maintenance of the data. If you want to change a medication name, you make the change once in the Master Table and everywhere in the system will reflect the change.

Clinasyst doesn't require you to pre-enter all of the information in the Master Tables before entering other information.  If you attempt to select an item from a list that does not exist in the Master Table, Clinasyst will prompt you to add it and provide you with a quick pop up form to use.  You never have to stop what your doing and go somewhere else.

Clinasyst uses existing information to generate the 1572.  You don't have to re-key any information.  Just point, click, and watch!

The system uses various parameters or a combination of parameters to give you the precise report you need. There are a great number of useful reports available that are primarily designed by us under the direction of our clients. New reports can be added as needed.

Locating Records

Clinasyst provides easy navigation between and within its many screens.  Several screens offer multiple options for locating individual records.  For example, the patient master form allows patients to be located by name or chart number.

Revenue Forecasting

Once you have entered the study protocol, Clinasyst combines that information with budget price/cost information and can project your revenue for a future date range. Example: What revenue will I accrue for XYZ Study in the coming year by month? This is an important forecasting tool for management!

Clinasyst refers to the protocol restrictions when scheduling patients and projects patient visits with procedures for the entire study. The system does the "date arithmetic" and keeps the client on the course laid out by the drug manufacturer. When a patient must reschedule a visit, Clinasyst can reshuffle all subsequent visits if necessary and within protocol parameters.

Multi-Level Recruiting

Selecting patients who may qualify for a study is an important step in recruiting. Recruiting patients based on Inclusion/Exclusion criteria for a study is accomplished with easy selection boxes and is applied to your patient list in steps.  New criteria can be introduced at each step and you have the ability to go back and undo a criteria. This gives the user the ability to view the results of multiple inclusion/exclusion criteria in a single session. Example: Clinasyst can produce a list of non-smoking males between the ages of 35 and 55 who have COPD and who are not on a beta-blocker, and who have participated in a hypertension study before. Obviously, this gives you a big jump on recruiting.

Clinasyst will allow you to enter specific procedure amounts, visit level amounts (i.e. overhead),  and flat study amounts (i.e. advertising). As patients complete visits, the system can show you how much revenue has been generated, whether you owe patient stipends, or whether you owe a provider for performing a procedure.
